As a child I used to be obsessed with "front-end loaders" and "backhoes". I used to love going out to the sandbox to play with my toy construction machines. As a child there was nothing more gratifying than the toy they came out with that dug holes as if you were sitting in a backhoe. So when I was perusing the webbernet and I came across this website for a theme park that included these things, I must say, my interest was sparked. I mean, come on, what could be more fun than a day at Digerrland? Just look at old Patsy to the left here... there's a chap who's happy to be at Diggerland... in case you're wondering, the only pictures on this site seem to be from one family's trip to the theme park, and, no he did not look like this in the rest of the pictures, so I have no reason to believe he is mentally disabled in any way. How dare you even think that is why I posted this picture! I just think the kid is really excited, and that's just funny. If you missed it, Diggerland is a heavy machinery theme park located in the UK.

Anyways, Diggerland has some awesome attractions. They offer "Digger Mystery Rides", fun rides such as Mini Diggers and Dippy Ducks, and even a Sky Shuttle! I can only imagine what a "Digger Mystery Ride" entails... They even have some "adult events". Things like JCB and Dumper racing! Sounds like just the place for Diggers (Diggerland fans) from all over the UK to go to have a good time! They also offer on park job training for those people who are training to become Diggers.

So, the next time you're in the UK, please check out this park with its four easy to reach locations: Devon, Durham, Kent, and Yorkshire. And please, don't forget to pose in the gift shop like Patsy.

Scientology, WTF?

It's a rainy day, I'm bored. I have class in about 30 minutes, but i figured I'd have enough time to bang out a blog post before I ride my bike/walk (depending on how bad the rain is) to class... I'm trying to get into Blogger, but the problem seems to be that there is no community here. Maybe it's my fault for not being very "blog social", but the blogging community has changed since the days that I was into Xanga. I've had a blogspot account for about 3-4 years, and I just haven't hit my blogging stride, but I think it'll change with this set of blogs. If you read this, please be supportive, comment on my site (here), so I know you're reading this and I'm not just rambling on into Webbersphere.

Now, for the fun shtuff. I've been noticing that Scientology is crazy. I mean, super crazy. I'll have to research this more, and in an upcoming blog I'll post some of my research and opinions on the matter, but still, this is some crazy whacked out shtuff just by listening to what Tommy boy had to say... wait, you can't hear that on YouTube anymore? Why not? Copyrighted material you say? Oh no!

Well, now, thanks to our friends at Popsugar (which I hear is insanely addictive, but I wouldn't know because I just now found the site... but I'm only feeling a slight buzz, so I don't know if I'd deem it insanely addictive... but I digress), we have some clips of Tom Cruise rambling on about only God (or in this case, L. Ron Hubbard) knows what... This is the video that, I guess, was removed from YouTube and is what got the hackers of Anonymous so worked up.

Here are two working video links I found:
On Radar, Patty Pieniadz, a former Scientologist, attempted to clarify Cruise's rambling malarky. Here's what she had to say about the clips:

"I was a Scientologist for almost 30 years and I can translate what Cruise is

saying. He's speaking "Scientologese" which is a bogus language that Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard, made up in order to assist in the indoctrination of his followers.

Below you can find the definitions for some of the Scientology words used in this video

Definitions:

*KSW (short for Keeping Scientology Working): A policy written by
Hubbard in the 1960's that requires all Scientologists to follow his
words and his rules exactly.

"Orgs: Orgs is an abbreviation for "organizations" and describes
all churches of Scientology throughout the world.

*David Miscavige: He is the current leader of Scientology.
He's the equivalent of the Pope to the Catholics.

*Out-ethics: any behavior that violates any of Hubbard's
rules of conduct.

*Put ethics in on someone else: make others conform
to Hubbard's rules of behavior.

*Criminon: Scientology front group that tries to recruit through the prisons.

* SP: Suppressive Person. Anyone that doesn't like Scientology and/or criticizes Scientology.

*PTS/SP: another bogus Hubbard term to define behavior that goes
against Scientology rules.

*LRH technology or "tech": all the Scientology policies, rules, mandates, procedures.

Basically everything Hubbard wrote that controls the behavior of Scientologists."

After viewing these clips, I don't know what to say.... I think Tom's lost his mind, but if I'm in a car wreck, I really hope he runs to my rescue!
